Analytical and experimental nonlinear dynamics, failure mechanics, modal testing and analysis, dynamics and stability of engineered systems. Emphasis is on synthesizing knowledge from fields such as dynamical and stochastic systems, linear and nonlinear time series analysis, estimation and filtering theory to develop and implement innovative techniques for identification, diagnosis and prognosis of engineered, geophysical and biological systems.
