In addition to numerous scholarships awarded by the University and the College of Engineering, the Mechanical Engineering Department also has several of its own scholarships. The department list includes:

George A. Brown Scholarship

A merit only award given to an accomplished student who has achieved high scholarship in thermodynamics.

Matthew Flores Scholarship

This award to given to a deserving student and is based on both need and merit.

Leonard and Elena Lanni Scholarship

Based on need and merit, preference for this award is given to a first generation American from a Rhode Island high school.

James M. Lenehan Scholarship

An award based on both need and merit given to students who have demonstrated academic excellence along with qualities of self-motivation and leadership.

Milton Waltcher Scholarship

A merit only award based on general academic excellence.
