The
Mini-Golf Project
The robotic mini golf
experiment involves the use of trigonomic math to calculate the angle required to
hit the ball from its position to the desired hole. Once in the hole, the ball is ejected
with the use of air. Once ejected, the robot then proceeds to play the rest of the
three holes. This project was designed by Professor Musa Jouaneh and Paul Carnevale,
a recent graduate of the University of R.I.. All code was written by Paul Carnevale. The image shown is the Motoman / Yaskawa dual-puck pick &
place robot with a scan sensor mounted on the left puck, and a putter mounted on the right
puck. Watch as the robot finds the ball x,y target position and then moves the putter to
tap in the ball. ( Quiet Please )
