Meeting Street Center / University of Rhode Island
Supine Stander Design Project

A special joint project has been established between the Meeting Street Center East Providence, Rhode Island and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Rhode Island.  The project involves the design and construction of a new supine stander for adolescents with disabilities.  The URI mechanical engineering design team will work with a MSC therapy group to develop a new stander which better meets the needs of the Center.  Input from MSC will be used to develop the design requirements and performance criteria.  Design, simulation and construction is to be done at URI, and testing will be conducted at both URI and MSC.
